A fost, din nou, seara de aur a televiziunii – Premiile Emmy, acordate celor mai bune producții pentru micul ecran. Ajunse la cea de-a 74-a ediție, Primetime Emmy Awards 2022 au avut loc la Microsoft Theater în Los Angeles, fiind găzduite de Kenan Thompson și difuzate de NBC & Peacock.

Marele câștigător al serii a fost miniseria HBO The White Lotus, cu 10 premii (inclusiv categorii tehnice), care a obținut și Emmy-ul pentru cea mai bună miniserie. În clasamentul celor mai numeroase premii, au urmat Euphoria și Squid Game (cu câte 6 premii fiecare). Cel mai bun serial-dramă a fost desemnat Succession (HBO), iar Emmy-ul pentru cel mai bun serial-comedie a mers către Ted Lasso (Apple TV+), fiecare din cele două seriale obținând 4 statuete în total. HBO / HBO Max este liderul posturilor/platformelor în materie de statuete, cu 26 de premii în total, în timp ce Netflix a obținut 23 de premii.
